Charlie Hunnam coming back to Houston to meet 'Sons of Anarchy' fans –
The upcoming Comicpalooza is bringing good news for fans of FX's hit biker drama "Sons of Anarchy" who missed out on seeing one of its biggest stars last month at a competing convention.
Comicpalooza announced Tuesday that Charlie Hunnam is returning to Houston to meet with fans on Saturday and Sunday at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
“We know that Charlie’s recent trip to Texas to meet with fans did not go as either he or his fans had hoped,” said John Simons, Comicpalooza founder, “But it’s simply amazing that he would come right back to create a memorable experience for his fans almost immediately. He is very dedicated to his fans, and we are honored to have him at Comicpalooza.”

Hunnam and other cast members came to Houston late last month to appear at Space City Comic Con but due to internal struggles, alleged financial bungling and well documented mismanagement the fans at that convention were not able to meet Hunnam or get what they had paid for. A partial reunion of the cast didn't happen as the convention had advertised.
The public saga of Space City Comic Con, which includes stories of staff infighting and large unpaid debts, was covered nationally by fan sites and even TMZ due to the notoriety of the "Sons of Anarchy" cast.

Englishman Hunnam played Jax Teller on the hit show, which ended its run two years ago. It remains one of the most popular shows on cable television.
Hunnam, according to Comicpalooza, is honoring the Sons of Anarchy VIP ticket holders from Space City Comic Con, offering them free autographs. Wolf Studios will also honor any unused VIP photo op vouchers from Space City Comic Con.
In addition, Comicpalooza says that it will issue one free adult three-day pass to each of those VIP ticket holders which will allow them entry into the upcoming event.
Space City Comic Con and Comicpalooza are separate entities and are not connected to each other in any way.
Simons said this week that the special appearance by Hunnam was a way to give back to the fans after what happened last month.

Booking agent Dave Altman, a friend of Hunnam’s, said Tuesday that the actor very much wanted to return to Houston to connect with the fans who had wanted to meet him last month.
He credited Comicpalooza for providing a way for Hunnam to make this appearance happen.
Special guests already announced for Comicpalooza include Kate Beckinsale, the cast of the sci-fi thriller "Aliens," the crime drama "Boondock Saints," David Prowse, Peter Mayhew, Eliza Dushku, Lou Ferrigno, Walter Koenig, Tara Reid and Lennie James.
