Yes, Houston has a nonstop flight to New Zealand (and many other destinations) – Chron
Contrary to what some may believe, Houston's IAH does offer daily nonstop flights to Auckland, New Zealand.
Vacation time is getting close, and Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) has a lot of nonstop flights for international destinations.
In early 2018, United Airlines debuted a new flight from Houston to Sydney, Australia making it one of two nonstop flights to Australasia, the second being a daily direct route to New Zealand.

Though the nonstop route to Auckland debuted in 2015, it is not usually the first option to show up on a flight search since having a stop tends to make tickets cheaper, but there is a trade-off for the price.
A quick search showed that a flight to New Zealand with one stop can take over 20 hours, while a direct flight from IAH can shave about 5 hours off your flight time, which means more time to have fun.
According to the Air New Zealand website, the airline offers everything from food and wine to comfortable seating (even in Economy) for most international flights.
While it may often be a bit pricier (though not always), sometimes booking nonstop is the best way to go to get the most out of a dream vacation.
