Wrestling superstar The Undertaker, a Houston native, will star at Wrestlemania 31 following his shocking defeat at last year's event.
The wrestler, whose real name is Mark Calaway, has not set foot in the WWE ring since his 2014 match with Brock Lesnar. Calaway will turn 50 five days prior to this year's Wrestlemania, set for March 29 in Santa Clara, Calif.
On Monday, wrestler Bray Wyatt issued his final challenge to The Undertaker – the culmination in a series of odd hints that "the Deadman" would make an appearance at the flagship event.
The Wrestlemania promo was particularly bizarre, featuring a burning chair, a smoking vase and a free light show. But The Undertaker never showed up. Reportedly, the WWE's writing team will delay his appearance until Wrestlemania officially kicks off at the end of the month.
